Headline News

Darwin's poking Bob Manor and the Getaway Drivers to see if they'll take the lead on January 26th at Electric Earth. Cum on...ya know ya want to....

Coffee chat on xmas-eve confirms the prospect is "under discussion."

We've also gotten a bite from The Dry Bean for a Wednesday night as yet to be disclosed. Our goal is to transcend venue...east...west...north...south...smoky...skank...yuppie...hippie. Shit, we'll play anywhere for a beer and $50.

Who am I kidding? We'll play anywhere for a beer.

Demo Beta

Hey kiddies...we're headed back into the studio next Tuesday to create a bigger, badder, mo maama jamma demo disk. Mp3s to follow.

The Klinic

Photo documentation is trapped in various cell phones, but we did indeed headline at The Klinic last night.

We headed over to South Park Street around 11:30pm, fresh on the heels of Michael winning the song writer's showdown, Dar unexpectedly pulling a performance of two of hir originals out of hir ass, and Jon getting thoroughly cock-blocked at Mark Croft's singer/songwriter showdown and open mic at Brocach. We all piled in the rented cargo van and were off.

Arriving at The Klinic, Right Away was only just getting started. There had been some kind of amp meltdown that delayed them an hour. We patiently drank our $1 PBRs and waited for our turn...confident in the promise that we'd been made that we were free to play until 2am. We took the stage at 12:30am armed with our pregnant hour of tunes. There were an assortment of technical problems...like Dar's crash cymbol flying off into hir lap in the middle of "The Ballad of Anna K" and Michael's bass strap giving up the ghost in the middle of the set (a helpful audience member provided a replacement!). The PBRs got the best of Dar in the middle of the show and the boys soloed the as-to-herefore untested "I Got So High" whilst Dar emptied hir bladder...joining them mid-tune to complete the songs debut as a trio. A handful of Jon's friends, including loyal Cabana Boy Frank, were there to cheer us on...but as the evening wore on the crowd dispersed and we were unceremoniously shut down without notice at 1:30am. Inexplicably...we made $33 ($33? Hmmmm...looks like $29 to me...but, whatever)...which nearly covered the cost of renting the van...but at least we didn't have to pay The Klinic for the priveledge of playing.

It would have been nice to have an audience and to be allowed to complete our set...but still...it was quite an evening of fun. Not bad for a Wednesday night.

We're back with the middle aged liberal bikie crowd on December 28th, as east meets west at Revolution Cycles at a fundraiser for near westside Madison Alder Robbie Webber's re-election campaign. Details to come.

Cafe Zoma

Thanks to everyone who came out on a frickin' cold night to see us make our public debut at Cafe Zoma on Dec 2nd. The Sigourney Weavers lived up to their name...whatever that means...and the crowd seemed to enjoy the evening's fare. Between the two bands...we proved once again that you don't need experience, a functioning drum throne, to know the names of the songs, or all of your fingers in order to play rock n roll.

Want more? Come see us on December 13th at The Klinic...at midnight!
