The Klinic, chapter 2
Last night's performance at The Klinic (our second) was pretty typical. As the doorman commented, "only yer old ladies" showed up. Well...to be precise...two "old ladies" and two friends of the "old ladies". Still...that was four more people than The Mad Science Project had.
We were able to play our entire set plus an impromptu encore of one of Michael's original tunes (a Lollards world premiere...like really, Jon and Dar had never played the song before)...which was great practice for Friday's Battle of the Bands show.
The only glitch of the evening...Jon's "new" tube amp, ungrounded as it is, continues to shock him through the vocal mic. With the amped up power of The Klinic's PA, the shock was too dangerous to endure. A quick trip back to Jon's to retrieve Afro Jack solved the problem, though, and we were still able to hit the stage at just 5 minutes after 11pm.
We will never leave Afro Jack at home again...it was a tragic miscalculation.
